Natural Wines
Natural wine is produced with minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, with the goal of allowing the grapes to express themselves and the terroir (the unique characteristics of the vineyard's location) to shine through. Natural winemakers often use organic or biodynamic farming practices in their vineyards. This means avoiding synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers and instead focusing on sustainable and holistic agricultural methods, and harvest the grapes by hand. Natural winemakers also aim to let the wine evolve naturally, without excessive manipulation or adjustments in the winemaking process. This can lead to variations in taste and texture from one vintage to another. Here are the handful that passed our taste test.
