Discover this 2016 Spanish red wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes in the Rioja region of Spain. A delicious drop that will please those who love traditional Rioja but also a bit of succulence in their wines. Their 2016 Reserva is produced from vineyards that are at least 30 years old and the wine is aged for 18 months in both French and American oak.
Intense ruby red colour with brick trim. On the nose, it is intense with aromas of balsamic wood, moss, and a background of red berries and earth. On the palate, it is lush, smooth, and easy to drink, but also tasty and meaty according to the wine. It evolves in the tasting. Finished with notes of licorice, spices, and berries. The retronasal effect is long and persistent.
Service: Serve at 18°C. Decant before serving.
Food Pairing: Excellent with beef, lamb, game, pork, pasta in tomato sauce and vegetarian dishes.

Vinification: After careful classification of the grape, they are destemmed and taken to the fermentation tank. In it, they remain for several days in the maceration phase, before the fermentation starts tumultuously in the liquid phase, which is found under the skins of the grape, which floats on top. The automatic pump-over and immersion are responsible for extracting the tannins and colour of the grape skin. All the fermentation process is thermally regulated to favour the survival of the yeast until the end of it. Once finished fermentation, the wine is extracted by gravity.
